Launch of a new E-Commerce Platform to enable professional, skilled experts to recieve service requests, send proposals, and answer requests, all from their iPhone. Customer can accept or reject expert proposals, and business workflow notifications are d
Englishtown, NJ - October 26th, 2009 – The founders of AMBIS Software LLC took a look at our corporate environments, our booming retirees, roller coaster economic conditions, and the job markets of today, and identified challenges and opportunities with the fundamental structure of our capitalist economy. We have corporate structures where only the political savvy survive, not necessarily the most skilled professionals. In turn, our large corporations may have amassed a wealth of resources, but are these resources the right ones to accelerate our children of tomorrow, and help them evolve new markets?
Our corporations have been more about innovations in cost-savings, or cost-avoidance, and less about innovations in products for the betterment of our society. These issues are not limited to large corporations, but small companies also have these challenges. Because of our environments of litigation, and covering ‘one’s own tail’, we are being conditioned essentially to perform just as much as we are told, and do not go beyond the bounds of our roles. Dare we step on the feet of those around us, and risk being labeled ‘not a team player’, and a rebel within the corporation? What about that American rebellious spirit of change and innovation?
Something is wrong here. Very wrong with our capitalistic structure in America, but since we do live in America, and we are capitalists, it’s only a matter of time for the pain to become so intense, that a creative innovator, and technologist ultimately finds a way to succeed. It’s not like we haven’t been trying to find our way. We know as a people we need to network better, with our friends, and people we value, for their skills and talents. Many have looked to networking, like a blind man in a mansion, not figuring out all the pathways to economic success. Many companies have taken to advertising, and marketing products to our aging baby boomer society, such as health products. Selling Products through networking organizations have been around for years, but the new trend is niche product marketing of health products. So, what if I don’t want to sell products? What if I’m not a salesman, but I am an electrician? Maybe I am licensed Electrician, working for someone else, perhaps doing something else, and want to make being an Electrician a full time job? Maybe I am a skilled professional of a trade other than sales or technology, and I find myself to be unemployed, and since companies are not hiring, I need to go into business for myself, but don't know where to start? How about all those retirees who have seen their pensions sufficiently depleted, can’t retire, need the money, but are being offered mild compensation packages for forced early retirement.
For these people, how do they get on the Internet? There is a lot of information out there, in fact, many times there is too much information, and at the worst cases misinformation. Once you have a web site, as an electrical contractor, math tutor, or any legitimate profession or trade, how do you distinguish yourself from your competitors? Maybe the gradual word of mouth will spread the good word about your skills? Maybe lots of ads on Search Engines will help you promote your service? If you have the time and the money, maybe, just maybe, that might work.
Well, AMBIS Software LLC thought up an alternative to this chaos. Build an E-Commerce Service based platform, not just to transfer payments, or selling products, but network experts of all legitimate, skills and trades to sell their services. Provide these experts essentially a platform to receive service requests of any type from Appliance Repair, licensed Electricians, Math Tutors, and Music Lessons, and more.
AMBIS Software LLC has built that E-Commerce platform, which has the following features:
- Business workflow from customer request, business proposal to the customer rating the service
- Customer requests may include text, an image, type of service, and priority
- Experts are notified by email, and/or sent a text message when the Service receives new requests, customer proposal acceptance or rejection, customer service ratings, and more.
- Customers are notified by email, and/or sent a text message when the Service receives expert proposals, answers, or service tickets.
- Answers may include images, text, and/or a URL, start date & time, phone number, or location.
- Experts can turn availability ON or OFF
- Expert Profiles may include an picture, text, or direct potential customers to your Internet page
- iPhone interactions uses standard SSL Encryption to protect data transmitted
- Choose how you want your customers to pay you! PayPal Mobile is the default option
- Experts have the ability to create an ‘Add Favorite Expert’ Email Signature so customers can click on it from their iPhone emails, and add the Expert to their favorite expert list.
- Users can manage their list of favorite experts
- Rate Expert Service, and see other Customer Ratings, such as the Expert’s average, highest, and lowest scores, and the associated customer service comments
- Filter Expert Searches by location, and/or Customer Ratings
- Customers can use the Service for free, and are charged a fee for the Expert’s Services only
- Expert Basic membership is currently free and includes 3 answered requests per month, or additional monthly subscriptions are available: 20 answered requests are $2.95 per month, and 40 answered requests are $4.95 per month. See web site for details.
Version 1.1, currently in Apple QA, has the additional abilities to:
- Change Current Location / ZIP from the iPhone device
- Instead of typing proposal text, the expert can send a URL link to an on-line document
Currently, the available platform is the iPhone; however, the architecture was built so any web based clients can plug in and use this E-Commerce Service.
We hope that these kinds of platforms, once people can take to them, will drive solid brand recognition to people once again, and companies will again be contenting not just for the resources that can ‘tick the box’, and say they’ve got this skill, or that; but look at a consistent customer service rating history.
Isn’t that how we can drive the American economy forward once again to the innovators, customer service focused people, rather than just the cost-savings, or cost avoidance folks?
